His Story

Dylan Serfontein

On the 26th of April 2022, 16-year-old Dylan Serfontein ran out for the first team with his older brother in the same team, which for his parents Pieter and Joedene was a great moment of comfort turned into a moment that every parent fears. Dylan was seriously injured during the game and taken to hospital by helicopter. It was found after several MRIs that he had a brain and spinal concussion.

At first he lost use of all his limbs but was relieved after two weeks to regain partial use of his hands and arms, but still cannot walk. He is currently transferred to a Rehab facility after a month in the hospital and receives daily therapy etc. to help him walk again. Today, 1 month and 3 weeks later, Dylan is still not home and there is no indication of how long the rehabilitation will take.

In the meantime, his mother is struggling with end stage renal failure and had to receive a heart operation shortly before his injury, she also goes on life-essential dialysis 3 times a week.

The family is not only emotionally, mentally and physically under tremendous stress but also financially. So far they have had to incur huge medical expenses as the medical does not bear all the costs and then it is also up and down daily to the center and all this on one income and there are two brothers and a sister at home.

I am asking if you could please help the family in any possible way to ease their burden.

A Word

From The Owner:

“I personally started out not really believing in the healing potential of pressurized O2, but after experiencing it for myself and seeing how it helped my son, I developed a burning desire to make oxygen treatments more accessible to the public. It is for this reason I started Solid O2 and find joy in helping people find sponsorships.”

I suffer from adult ADHD, and although I was a bit skeptical at first, the sessions are great and I can feel the difference.
